Biography

Kees Slegt, geboren in 1946 te Amsterdam, heeft in zijn geboorteplaats aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie gestudeerd. Nog steeds woont en werkt de kunstenaar in deze stad.

Alhoewel Slegt voornamelijk bekend is geworden met zijn etsen, maakt hij ook schilderijen, houtsneden en litho’s. Ook al hebben de etsen en schilderijen een abstract karakter, toch hebben zij een figuratief uitgangspunt.
