Biography

Met hedendaagse beeldentaal, afkomstig van computerspelletjes en pictogrammen, daagt hij de toeschouwer uit tot zorgvuldig kijken: Ton Slits. Zowel het ruimtelijk werk als de schilderijen en collages van de kunstenaar, die geboren is in 1955 te Valkenburg aan de Geul, bevatten een ruimtelijk karakter.

Slits, die van 1972 tot 1979 heeft gestudeerd aan de Academie voor Beeldende Vorming Tilburg en de Jan van Eyck Academie te Maastricht, streeft te allen tijde in zijn werken naar houvast...
