Biography

Haast geen mens komt voor in zijn hyperrealistisch vrije werk: Bert Houweling. Houweling, geboren in 1949 te Haarlem, is sinds 1973 actief als journalistiek fotograaf. In zijn eigen werk is hij op zoek naar iets heel anders dan in zijn journalistieke opdrachten, en dat verklaart zijn vrijwel ‘wezenloze’ foto’s. Hierin staat de verlaten, zo nu en dan vervallen omgeving altijd centraal.
