Biography

Frans Schuursma, geboren in 1938 te Amsterdam, studeerde aan de Kunstacademie te Tilburg en de Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerpen.

Schuursma schildert en tekent in de figuratieve stijl en verbeeldt de wereld om hem heen op een speelse, fantasievolle manier. De schilderijen van de kunstenaar doen Frans aan. Dit is ook niet heel vreemd, aangezien hij sinds 1969 woont en werkt op een honderd jaar oude zeilklipper die schuin tegenover de Eiffeltoren in de Seine ligt. Straatbeelden ...
