Biography

Beeldend kunstenaar Peter van den Akker, geboren in 1949 te Amsterdam, heeft twee opleidingen aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht afgerond. Momenteel woont en werkt hij in Kortenhoef, samen met de kunstenaar Madeleine Metsaars.

Centraal in het oeuvre van Van den Akker staan de mens en zijn omgeving. De mens ziet hij niet als individu, maar als universeel gestalte. De kunstenaar heeft een passie voor de ontwikkelingen van de mensheid en is gefascineerd door de bewegingen die mens...
