AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL

The Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam approached LiNK art company to commission art for its terminal hall and corridor that connect the B and C gates. After much collaboration and careful consideration we put forth a selection of artists to the management committee from which Danielle Kwaaitaal and Cor Dera were chosen. Cor Dera created a beautiful collection of both photographs and text that span the 200-meter long corridor. The artworks depict the plants and flowers that grace Holland and are supported by stunning imagery and sounds of the animals that are found in Schiphol and surrounds. The work of Danielle Kwaaitaal covers a large area and showcases stunning panoramas of the Schiphol region. These panoramas include scenery from the Zuidas, the Amsterdam Forest, the flower auction at Aalsmeer and the surrounding polder landscape and its beautiful skyline. The 2-million travellers that pass through this bustling terminal each year are treated to the scenic vistas and striking landscape imagery.
